Dragons Abreast Melbourne (DAM Busters) was formed in 2001. We are a group of breast cancer survivors and supporters, with both female and male members, ranging in age from 13 to 79!
We aim to:
– Dragon boat for fun, friendship, and fitness
– Embrace life and improve our wellbeing
– Support all those who have had breast cancer
– Promote breast cancer awareness
– Demonstrate people can lead a very active life despite breast cancer
– Encourage participation over competition.
We invite all breast cancer survivors and supporters to come and experience the magic that is part of our unique team. We paddle at Docklands so you get a fantastic view of Melbourne while you paddle!
COME & TRY – Dragons Abreast Melbourne (DAM Busters) invites Breast Cancer Survivors and Supporters to come and try dragon boating. If you would like to join us any Sunday or Tuesday please email: [email protected]
You are welcome to come and try three times with us before deciding if you would like to join in the fun with our team!
After the third time, if you wish to continue paddling, you are required to become a member. The Treasurer/Membership Coordinator will provide you with the appropriate forms and payment details. Your membership will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. This will ensure that you are also a member of DAA and DBV and covered by appropriate insurance.
Please advise us if payment is difficult for you and arrangements can be made for you to pay in installments.
A ‘head shot’ photo is required for ID purposes; this should be in .jpg format, with head and shoulders only and no hat or glasses (unless glasses are required for paddling).
