Dragons Abreast Australia groups are hosting several ‘Come and Try’ days for interested new paddlers, in line with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.
Dragons Abreast Australia, has local dragon boating groups across Australia, sharing the mission of encouraging wellness, fitness, fun and camaraderie for breast cancer survivors through the sport of dragon boating and promoting breast cancer awareness throughout the community.
Breast cancer patients, survivors and their family and friends have the opportunity to try this awesome sport for free at a location convenient to them during National Paddle Month.
From Bunbury to Byron Bay, during the month of October, Dragons Abreast groups will be hosting ‘Come and Try’ days to raise awareness of the benefits of paddling after breast cancer treatment and encouraging survivors to join the paddling movement.
Coming up to twenty years old, Dragons Abreast Australia is a leader in the movement for people affected by breast cancer; spreading awareness, empowering individuals, and educating on the benefits of an active lifestyle after diagnosis.
