Robin had been ill for several months with cancer in several areas and had decided on no more treatment. Although not paddling for some time now she made an effort to come to breakfast afterwards and in the latter days some of our dragon girls collected her.

In the last few weeks the same ladies also visited her, took her for outings in her wheelchair then assisted with her care at home in her final days.

She was privately cremated and so, with the family’s permission we held a memorial service, taking our 2 boats out, along with her husband and 2 sons, to scatter her ashes and have a flowers on the water ceremony. Her husband was very pleased that we did this for her.
