Janice Matthews Port Lincoln
About Janice Matthews
“Jan was a beautiful lady and a devoted mother. The courage and strength she showed through a long and painful battle with this disease has been an inspiration to us all. Jan and her husband Ian were known to many members of Dragons Abreast and we had the pleasure of paddling with them in Perth and Canberra.
Over the Christmas period Jan Matthews graduated to Angels Abreast – those of you who were in Perth may remember Jan, she was the sole Port Lincoln representative and Perth was her first regatta.”

I am delighted to see the item about Jan in your segment Vale – Angels Abreast. Our involvement with Dragons Abreast was inspirational and gave Jan great pleasure and satisfaction, as well as providing hope and support. I note that you do not have a photo of Jan in the item and I am therefore attaching one that you might like to include. Thank you once again for the support and camaraderie that you afforded us during Jan’s illness.”
