About Jenny Anne McGoldrick
Jenny and Jim McGoldrick were at the first ‘meet & greet’ for the start of our new breast cancer survivors and supporters club, and although she was still having treatment they joined in September 2006.
They both shared the love of boats and water and got involved with the club quickly, Jenny came onto the Committee as property manager and Jim as boat captain and Sweep.
As Jenny gained her confidence and strength she became our reliable ‘bench 5 paddler’.
We were a very new team that went to Abreast in Australia and in out team of 22 were Jenny and Jim, she was courageous, strong, fit and well for the festival and at her peak.
After Caloundra they continued up the coast on their retirement holiday, but sadly she had a recurrence of cancer and had to fly home.
We will remember a very brave, courageous, fun loving friend and paddler, you will always be in our boat.
