Renate Jones Mt Warning

Renate Jones was Dragons Abreast Mt Warning’s youngest breast cancer survivor member. Renate paddled with us during the very early years of our club, after her initial diagnosis of breast cancer in 2006. She was a much loved member by all of us that knew her.  Renate’s struggle against breast cancer has been reoccurring long and relentless. This insidious disease that is breast cancer had metastasized very early and for Renate had become an endless battle. Her battle ended on Sunday 11th October 2016.  Renate was just 47 years old. 

Our memories of Renate are of a beautiful young, happy, smiling, strong, young woman who embraced her DAMW family with so much joy and enthusiasm. There were many happy times and events we all shared with this beautiful lady. Renate family, husband John, and three beautiful children, Jack, Abbie and Tori are in our thoughts and prayers.
