On 19 September 2026, a determined crew of 21 Dragons Abreast Australia paddlers will stand on the shores of Loch Ness as the Highland mist lifts and the legendary waters stretch out before them.

From sun-drenched Australian coastlines to the deep, mysterious heart of Scotland, our pink-powered crew is travelling across the world to take on one of the most iconic endurance paddling events on the planet — Monster the Loch.

Hosted on the legendary waters of Loch Ness, Monster the Loch is the UK’s largest mass-participation boat race. The course spans the full 21 miles of the loch — approximately 34 kilometres — with the start line set at either Fort Augustus or Dores, depending on wind direction. Hundreds of competitors from around the world line up side by side in an incredible show of human-powered determination — from dragon boats to kayaks, rowing boats and more.

The weather can change.
The water can test you.
The loch is long, deep and unforgettable.

And that’s exactly why we’re going.

This is more than a race.

It’s breast cancer survivors and supporters paddling side by side.

It’s friendship forged through months of training and shared commitment.

For 21 miles, our dragon boat will carve a bright pink path across ancient Highland waters — powered by resilience, laughter and the unbreakable bond that defines Dragons Abreast Australia.
