SA Community Paddlers

State: SA

Welcome to Our Community

Across South Australia, our Dragons Abreast Australia members stay active on the water by paddling with their local community dragon boat clubs in both Port Lincoln and Adelaide, while remaining proudly connected to the wider DAA family.

In Adelaide, our paddlers train regularly with welcoming and inclusive community clubs, enjoying the beautiful river settings, strong club culture and year-round opportunities to paddle, compete and connect. These sessions help our members build strength, confidence and friendships, all while continuing their breast cancer recovery and wellbeing journey in a supportive local environment.

In Port Lincoln, our community paddlers embrace the unique coastal lifestyle, paddling on stunning open waters with local crews who value teamwork, resilience and camaraderie. The supportive nature of regional paddling means every session is about more than just time on the water — it’s about connection, encouragement and showing that life after diagnosis can be active, joyful and full of purpose.

Whether in the city or by the sea, our South Australian community paddlers are wonderful ambassadors for Dragons Abreast Australia — paddling locally, supporting their clubs, and staying part of a national network of survivors and supporters who paddle together in spirit, no matter where they train.
