Pumicestone

Dragons Abreast Pumicestone is a vibrant group of breast cancer thrivers! We are a diverse group who range in age from 40 to 85 and who are passionate about paddling. Dragons Abreast Pumicestone is located on beautiful Bribie Island. Our members have been paddling in the Pumicestone Passage for the last 15 years

We espouse DAA’S philosophy of Awareness, Participation and Inclusiveness that has seen us adopt Dragons Abreast Australia’s CONNECT, MOVE and LIVE mantra. Yes we paddle, but we are so much more! We embrace and encourage teamwork and a great sense of empathy to drive our focus: to promote awareness of breast cancer, the importance of early detection, life after breast cancer, and to provide support and inspiration to others in a similar situation.

Our membership is geared towards helping cancer survivors, no matter at what stage of the Breast Cancer journey. With Dragons Abreast Pumicestone, members can exercise at whatever level they choose, through walking groups as well as through social or competition paddling. We value and maintain social connection though a range of activities.
