The Merlin Brand was created by Geoff Germon, a very talented Australian inventor / designer / carbon fibre specialist.  Geoff pioneered the Carbon Fibre Dragon Boat paddle and spent 10 years perfecting paddles that are suitable for both the beginner paddler through to world championship paddlers.  ​Merlin has moved onto the world stage after it’s successful beginnings in Australia, and will continue to be one of the most trusted brands in innovative paddle design and construction.
