Leonie Silk

Leonie Silk is thrilled to be able to use her professional skills to support Dragons Abreast Australia and has confidence that the New Beginnings phase will unite the organisation as it reaffirms its grass roots. The fire of the dragon lives on!   She joined Dragons Abreast Hobart in 2014 following diagnosis of breast cancer. 

One of her strengths is understanding the passion that underlies the DAA philosophy to connect and give hope to those diagnosed with breast cancer. As she strives to see those impacted reach their goals and aspirations as they not only regain their fitness, but heal physically, mentally and financially. 

She has a broad and strong background across a range of disciplines in both For-Profit and Not-For-Profit agencies spread over 20 years. These roles include governance and administrative management, strategic planning, project, event and change management, providing executive support to senior management, Board of Management, Commissions and Taskforces
