Sue Von Richter

Sue joined Dragons Abreast Brisbane (affectionately known as Team Missabittaitti) in 2015 and hit the ground running. In the space of 5 short years she has been MBT Coordinator for 3 years, Assistant Team Manger for the IBCPC Festival in Florence, Team Manager for two Sydney Festivals and is now a Level 1 Coach. Sue has extensive Committee experience and a background in Accountancy, IT and Business Systems – she will take on the role of Public Officer and Finance Officer.

“Being a part of Dragons Abreast Australia is something that I am very passionate about. I became a Coach in 2020 when it looked like I may never paddle again due to health issues – I felt that I still had a way to give back to those Women & Men who are still yet to be diagnosed and will find their way to dragon boating. Dragons Abreast Australia may have started from small beginnings but it is now part of a worldwide movement that empowers us to show that their is a life after a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. I am fitter now than I was 10 years ago and Dragon Boating is the reason for this.”
