Wynette Monserrat

About Wynette Monserrat

Wynette discovered dragon boating after looking for a way to stay fit and have fun after a breast cancer diagnosis. Five years on and it is now her passion and she wants others to discover it too. She joined the board to help ensure that dragon boating is fun, safe and personally fulfilling for all paddlers whether juniors, breast cancer survivors, para athletes or elite sports people.

In Australia, Wynette has competed in local, State and National regattas. Internationally, she participated in the IBCPC Florence regatta for breast cancer survivors and competed in the Club Crew World Championships in Hungary with her sporting club Bei Loon. She also has her AusDBF Level 1 Coach qualification.

Wynette has a B. Sc (Hons) and MBA and has completed the Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors with the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As the General Manager of a National Nursing Service, she brings extensive experience in risk management and corporate governance to the board and she keeps her board skills up-to-date through her membership with Women on Boards.

Wynette would like to use her knowledge to help Dragons Abreast Australia.
