Anne Heather Holmes Bundaberg

Anne Holmes was a very energetic, vibrant, well loved and respected member of the Dragons Abreast and Bundaberg Dragon Boat Club.

She was Co-Ordinator of Dragons Abreast and Vice President of the BDBC.

From the inauguration of DA and BDBC, Anne took hold of paddling with both hands, proving this was one of her fortes.

At all regattas, Anne was one of the first to volunteer to help organise a team plus arrange transport and accommodation.

She thrust herself with “gusto” into all events, including the weekly paddling sessions.

Anne was always willing and available to help and advise other paddlers.

She was a “rock” in more ways than one.

The Annual event of Dragons Abreast Australia Regatta held on the Darling Harbour in Sydney N.S.W. in February 2009, was one of the highlights of her short paddling career.

This elegant lady will be sadly missed , as she touched the hearts of all who knew her.
