Feb 2020 – DAA National Convention
| Hello Coordinators, On behalf of the Board of Dragons Abreast Australia, I am excited to invite you to register for the National Convention being held in Brisbane from 19th June to 21st June 2020. Our theme for this convention is ‘Flourish and Grow’. This may sound familiar as it was the theme from our 20th Gala Anniversary Dinner. We believe the same theme is still relevant as we come together to celebrate DAA and ensure we build for a future where we continue to make a difference in the life of breast cancer survivors. The convention program is outlined in the attached invitation and it will be a full day learning and sharing. Another benefit of our time together is building relationships with other members from around the country. Sharing your stories benefits us all. We are keen to have two representatives from each group attend with one (hopefully) being the Coordinator. As this is a DAA event, funding for your convention and travel costs can be paid from group funds for the two representatives. If other members of your group are attending it would be at their cost. There is limited seating and we encourage each group to quickly identify their representatives and register. The early bird registration is open until 15 March 2020. Once group representatives from all groups are represented other members are most welcome to register. The attached invitation contains all the information you require and a link to the registration page. You can also book your own accommodation and we have two options – Colmslie Hotel (convention location) and the Quest, a short walk away. Both hotels have given us discount codes for securing a great rate when you book.
