Janelle Pritchard

Janelle has been a long-standing member of Dragons Abreast Australia.  Janelle joined the Brisbane team of ‘Missabittatitti’ in April 2005.   

Since 2007, Janelle has held various roles on the Brisbane club management committee including the roles of Fundraising Coordinator, Secretary and Coordinator for the club.   She has attended every IBCPC Festival since 2007.  

On a professional level, prior to retirement, Janelle was the National Quality & Risk Manager for a national charity with operations over 40 offices over 5 states.  A role she held for 16 years.  She holds various qualifications in business & risk management and corporate governance.  

Since retiring from her employment, Janelle has assisted DAA, Dragons Abreast Brisbane and the Brisbane sports paddle club prepare and lodge various grant applications. Her work also included a successful collaborative grant application for Dragon Boat Queensland Inc and DAA for a $50,000 grant.  The grant was used to create training opportunities for more coaches, sweeps and drummers, as well as providing some governance training and assistance to all Queensland registered clubs to aid their transition to new incorporation requirements for community sports clubs in Queensland .   

Janelle continues to support DAA with the preparation of grants, and has now accepted a role on the DAA Advisory Committee.
